STEP I: INTRODUCTION
We are almost always introduced or recommended to prospective qualified
clients through their trusted advisors or friends. We prefer
this approach because ours is a special expertise for select
people. Since we can only work with a small number of families
each year and since we will likely have a long on-going business
relationship, we execute careful due diligence before agreeing
to offer our engagement arrangement.
We also prefer that prospective
clients, along with their trusted advisors, execute their
due diligence upon us before we meet. Prospective
clients do this by reading our book, Beating
the Midas Curse,
and by examining our legal documents. When they are satisfied,
we meet
with them and their advisors to answer any questions and to conduct
two-to-three hours of Guided Discovery to determine their fee.
At this point, they determine at their pace if and when they
want to accept our engagement arrangement.
